Our heritage meat chicken is raised for the first 12 weeks on our non GMO 21% chick starter then finished on pasture until ready for market around 11-12 weeks of age.  Their market weight is anywhere between 5-8 lbs, making this a naturally plump, juicy and excellent tasting meat that was raised ethically and processed humanly.  Heritage chicken does not have nearly the fat content of "factory" meat chickens and therefore requires a different hand to cook; slow and low.  Raised in small quantities, we have a limited amount available until our next batch in May 2022.
