Our heritage meat chicken -The French Bresse, is raised for the first 6 weeks on our NON GMO 23% chick starter then put on pasture until around 10-12 weeks of age. The birds are then finished chopped hay and raw goats milk. The result is an excellent tasting, tender meat that is unparalleled to any other.
Their market weight is anywhere between 5-11 lbs, making this a naturally plump, juicy and excellent tasting meat that was raised ethically and processed humanly.  
Heritage chicken does not have nearly the fat content of "factory" meat chickens and therefore requires a different hand to cook; slow and low.  Raised in small quantities, we have a limited availability and pre order is highly recommended.
